Request an appointment- A lump, usually painless, or a hard area in the breast that has appeared recently
- Changes in the skin (inflammation, redness, orange-peel skin)
- Puckering or swelling of the skin (especially around the nipple)
- Changes to the nipple (inflammation)
- A sudden difference in size between the two breasts
- Discharge from the nipple (when not pregnant or breastfeeding)
- Swollen lymph nodes in the armpit, below the collarbone, beside the breastbone
- Unexplained weight loss
Check your breasts regularly.
Surgery and reconstruction
Sorengo
At Clinica Sant’Anna in Sorengo, every recognised reconstruction technique, including reconstruction with the patient’s own tissue: DIEP, TMG, PAP, S-GAP, lipofilling.
Reconstruction with a tissue expander and implant or with a latissimus dorsi flap, and nipple reconstruction.
Lymphoedema surgery, in selected cases.

During chemotherapy you can use the Paxman scalp-cooling cap: the centre has 3 machines, with 6 chairs.
The cap helps to limit hair loss: talk to your oncologist about it.
