The pathway

The pathway in 4 stages: diagnosis and surgery in Sorengo, oncology in Lugano and, at every stage, the Breast Care Nurse.

    Mammography with tomosynthesis, ultrasound, MRI and image-guided biopsies.

    Surgery and reconstruction

    Reconstruction can also use the patient’s own tissue: DIEP, TMG, PAP, S-⁠GAP.

    Chemotherapy

    During chemotherapy you can use the Paxman scalp-cooling cap, which helps to limit hair loss.
